It is once again time to sign up as facilitators for the 2020-21 EM simulation curriculum (aka STRATA). 4. Call out for Buddy Group Mentors!

We are looking for faculty volunteers to participate in our buddy group mentorship program. The ask for faculty is to commit to attending at least two of the four sessions over the year. The purpose is to facilitate a fun event where residents get to meet residents and faculty members from all levels and backgrounds. The PGY-2 and PGY-3 residents in the group do the emailing to coordinate, and the dates and times are already set by the program. All the sessions are in the late afternoon or early evening after the residents’ academic day to maximize their ability to attend.

The faculty would be responsible for coming up with a location and event (although, of course, residents are encouraged to suggest ideas). There are at least two faculty members assigned to each group, and we pair you with someone who is able to attend any sessions you cannot, to ensure all four dates are covered.

2020-2021 buddy group mentorship sessions*:

  • October 21st, 2020
  • November 18th, 2020
  • February 10th 2021
  • May 26th, 2021

* We are also hoping that you will be available for at least one date over the summer, just in case larger orientation sessions (e.g. welcome barbecue) might need to be smaller group activities if physical distancing is still required.

If you have any questions, or you would like to participate, please email Kaif Pardhan (kaif.pardhan@gmail.com) by June 15, and specify which of the four date/times you can commit to attending.
